Green Future Project announces the creation of Green Future Project Group with the acquisition of Baker Tilly Hidra SB, Karma Metrix, and HuPlay. The move establishes the Group as an integrated hub that combines software solutions, ESG consulting, digital sustainability, and digital learning to support companies on a comprehensive corporate sustainability journey - from strategy development to execution.

Milan, November 4th, 2025 — Green Future Project (GFP), an Italian climate tech company and benefit corporation, announces the launch of Green Future Project Group, an integrated ecosystem that brings together GFP and three key players in the ESG landscape: Baker Tilly Hidra SB (BKT Hidra), a consulting firm specialising in sustainability and decarbonisation strategies; Karma Metrix, a platform for measuring and optimising digital footprints; and HuPlay, a digital learning company focused on performance and ROI.

With this move, Green Future Project broadens its integrated service offering, combining technology, strategic consulting, and corporate training to guide companies through their sustainability journey while ensuring compliance with the latest ESG reporting and transparency standards.

Green Future Project Group was founded with the mission of making sustainability accessible, measurable, and actionable for every organisation. By integrating three complementary areas - ESG strategy, digital sustainability, and tailored corporate training - the Group has developed a comprehensive ESG Suite which offers: proprietary software for emissions measurement and reporting, strategic and operational consulting for the design and implementation of tailor-made sustainability strategies according to Lean Thinking principles, and high-value training programs to engage employees and enhance their skillsets.

With the integration of BKT Hidra, Karma Metrix, and HuPlay, Green Future Project Group now serves over 300 clients, including RCS MediaGroup, Trenord, Unipol, Valentino, Generali, Porsche, UniCredit, and many others. With a team of more than 40 professionals and operational offices in Milan, Pordenone, Trento, Cama, London, and Tokyo, Green Future Project Group continues its national and international expansion.

“This is a milestone that makes us proud, but above all, it is a new starting point. In five years, we have grown from a startup into a structured group of established companies,” says Pietro Pasolini, CEO and Founder of Green Future Project. “Our mission from the start has been to equip companies with practical tools for their sustainability journey and, over the years, we have developed flexible, modular technologies. Now, with these acquisitions, we provide an end-to-end platform and an integrated ecosystem designed to tackle market challenges and meet the real needs of businesses”

Green Future Project SB: the ESG Suite for businesses

Green Future Project (GFP), a B Corp and benefit corporation and digital partner of RINA, supports companies in their corporate sustainability journeys. Its ESG Suite is a modular platform that streamlines all sustainability processes: from monitoring utilities consumption and calculating carbon footprints to offsetting emissions, engaging supply chain stakeholders, and reporting in compliance with CSRD. GFP’s software solutions, unlike traditional approaches, enable companies to significantly reduce time and costs, while achieving greater efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

“The acquisitions bring new expertise on board and strengthen our role as a strategic partner for the companies we already collaborate with. In a market where non-organic growth is crucial to achieve ambitious goals and stay competitive, these moves are critical,” says Briano Martinoni, CCO and Co-Founder of Green Future Project. “The three new companies complement GFP’s core business and expand our offering. With Baker Tilly Hidra SB and Karma Metrix, we are integrating organisations where GFP’s innovative technology serves as a key differentiator. With HuPlay, we are taking an even more targeted approach - strengthening our focus on human capital and helping companies unlock the full potential of their people.

Karma Metrix: integrating digital sustainability into the ESG Suite

Karma Metrix is among the first European companies to adopt a scientific approach to digital sustainability. Its patented algorithm, developed in collaboration with SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland), calculates the digital carbon footprint of websites, applications, cloud services, and IT infrastructure. Following its acquisition, the software is being enhanced to automate the measurement of digital emissions, in line with recognised standards, including those from AI usage. The goal is to ensure full interoperability across the ESG Suite, enabling emissions data from digital assets to be seamlessly incorporated into Scope 3 calculations of corporate carbon footprints.

“The integration of Karma Metrix into Green Future Project Group completes our ESG Suite. Today, any company’s sustainability journey cannot ignore the digital impact generated by the growing use of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and artificial intelligence,” says Flavia Zallocco, Chief Client Experience & Product Officer at Green Future Project. “Our next challenge is to enhance the software with the automatic calculation of digital asset impacts, seamlessly integrating it with the other tools in the Suite to improve data interoperability, provide a broader strategic view, and support the achievement of full operational efficiency.”

HuPlay: ddigital learning designed for people, performance and ROI

HuPlay designs digital learning programs that blend technology with a human-centered approach. Using simulations, augmented reality, and gamification, it transforms training into immersive experiences focused on performance and results, aiming to surpass the traditional 15% learning transfer threshold. Its solutions support companies across a wide range of areas, from sustainability and leadership to management and cybersecurity, overcoming the limitations of conventional corporate training approaches. By joining Green Future Project Group, HuPlay enriches the Group’s offering with tailored corporate learning programs that redefine the role of training in driving organisational performance.

“The spark behind this partnership came from recognising that these two worlds, seemingly distinct, are in fact deeply connected. Sustainable business growth is impossible without considering the human element and fostering a corporate culture that embraces environmental responsibility,” says Dino Spinella, CEO of HuPlay. “Both companies are driven by a shared vision of progress, innovation, and positive impact. This partnership represents a bold step toward building a business model that is not only economically successful but also socially and environmentally responsible.”
