Project overview - Djabissa Planting Site

Djabissa Planting Site is located in Mozambique. In this country, approximately more than 8 million hectares of forest have been destroyed, altering the ecosystems balance and creating issues for the local populations which are heavily reliant on the services provided for forests.

General Overview - Knowledge pills about the Djabissa Planting Site

The Djabissa Site is in the southern part of Mozambique, near Maputo Bay.
Here, before the project started, mangrove populations were severely impacted by deforestation and forest degradation from charcoal production and wood collection for cooking, construction, and other purposes.
